People: My family, SO, friends, colleagues, acquaintances and followers. I've never been very successful with keeping friends but I have a lot of people in my life that matter, even though we mightn't have seen each other for years.
Animals: We no longer have a pet but hopefully one day we'll have another. Until then I'll continue to watch puppies on YouTube, browse OLX for dogs to adopt and keep dreaming.
Art: Although I hardly have any time to create, I feel as though it's still a large part of who I am.
Philosophy: My interest in philosophy is continuous, the more I read, the more I write, the more I learn.
Books and Comics: I usually read non-fiction or theoretical literature but I'm definitely fond of fiction,
Baths: We don't have a bath, just a shower. Baths are one of my favourite ways to relax. I like swimming too for the same reasons. There's something about being surrounded by water that calms me .
Food: I enjoy cooking, it's something I'm surprisingly good at. I'm not a fussy eater, everything goes.
Films and Online TV: I've probably seen more films and binge watched more television series than you've had hot dinners. I really love sitting on the settee (or in front of the laptop/iPad) with a nice cup of tea and a brilliant film.
Music: Listening to it, playing the guitar and singing along.
Blogging: I wrote my first post on Blogger in 2005, ten years ago. I had just finished high school and I wanted to start a blog. I had tried other sites and after several years, I really started to understand how difficult it is to become a successful blogger. Since then I've deleted several blogs, lost several thousands of followers and managed to start all over again from scratch. It was worth it in some ways but not others. I make a point not to delete anymore, I just try to improve and develop but it's often easier said than done.
Ten Things I Don't Like
A lack of routine: Not being in work over the summer was a little bit difficult for me, we had some ups and downs here at home due to it. I crave organisation, structure and routine so when I don't have it, it can all get a bit much.
Insects: I have a genuine phobia of the sound insects make, the noise of mosquitoes, bees, wasps and flies makes me beyond uncomfortable. Sometimes it even happens when I hear a lawnmower or scooter.
Bad Skin: Dermatillomania, acne, insect bites, cuts, grazes, bruises, large pores and stray hairs.
Sleep Deprivation: I can't stand it when the lights are on if I'm in bed, I don't like mysterious noises or being too hot during the night. It's frustrating when you're comfortable in bed and you need to get up to use the toilet.
Bullies: When adults rip into other adults even though they should know better.
Plants Dying: I cherish my plants, so when one of them dies, I feel really bad about it.
Stress: The pressure of modern life sometimes gets to me, there are so many things I want to do, see and learn but there aren't enough hours in the day. My body also reacts quite badly to stress which doesn't help.
Comparisons: Even though I try not to compare myself to others, I'm human, it happens.
Bad Smells: My nose is quite sensitive, the smell of an outside bin on a hot day makes me nauseated.
Loud Noises: I often find myself covering my ears with my hands. The sound of construction work goes through me.
