This week was probably one of the most interesting I've had so far in terms of random occurrences. On Monday, I was followed by a homeless man shouting "Czerwony Kapturek". On Tuesday, I applied for a PhD at Szkoła Nauk Społecznych Instytutu Filozofii i Socjologii PAN and was told that I had made it to the next stage (or stage two), which is an interview with several members of staff, the admissions committee. I feel quite positive that I'll do well as this is something I've wanted to apply for such a long time but I've never been brave enough to go ahead with. I also made a video which you can watch here.
Wednesday was nice, my SO gave me an absolutely beautiful bag from Gryfnie. On Thursday, I had a wonderful meeting with the Squared Online group as we're working on our last project at the moment. Friday was a busy day, I attended a school meeting in the morning and then taught in the afternoon. I was given a jar of home made blueberry jam by the financial director of the school, he makes it himself with the blueberries in his garden and he even gave me some great tips on how to serve it. I used cottage cheese (twaróg) and butter as a base. The jam itself reminds me of a chutney as it's a little more savoury than I'm used to but it is incredibly delicious.
My last lesson on Friday evening was an individual business student who works for Oriflame. She brought me the most beautiful gift, a perfume called SOLAR, it smells so sweet and fruity. I couldn't believe it. I am so lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful people here in Warsaw (not including the homeless guy from Monday). There are two weeks left of school and I feel positive that things can only get better.
